Type 1 MOT

Type 1 MOT is a well-graded crushed aggregate sub-base produced from limestone, granite, or recycled aggregate depending on supply source and specification requirements. The 0–40mm grading contains a balanced mix of aggregate sizes and fines which compact together to create a dense and stable foundation layer. Contractors regularly use this material beneath block paving, tarmac, concrete slabs, patios, access roads, and hardstanding areas where long-term structural support is important.
