20mm Pea Shingle

Our 20mm Pea Shingle is a rounded natural gravel aggregate produced for drainage, decorative landscaping, soakaways, and external groundwork applications where larger free-draining stone is required. The 20mm grading creates wider gaps between the aggregate which helps improve water movement through the surface layer and makes it suitable for drainage systems, underground services, retaining walls, and soakaway installations. Landscapers and groundworkers regularly use this material where smaller decorative gravel may compact too tightly or where a larger natural stone appearance is preferred across external landscaping areas. We supply this material loose for domestic and commercial landscaping projects across Manchester and surrounding North West areas.

The rounded stone grading gives pea shingle a softer and more natural appearance than angular crushed aggregates, which makes it suitable for garden borders, water features, pathways, and decorative edging projects. The larger 20mm sizing also performs well beneath decking, around drainage channels, and across low-maintenance landscaping areas where reliable drainage and long-term surface coverage are important. Unlike compactable sub-base materials, pea shingle remains loose and permeable which helps maintain water movement throughout the aggregate layer. The mixed natural stone colours work particularly well within both traditional and modern landscaping schemes.
