Our Gravel and Shingle Bulk Bag 20mm contains larger rounded natural aggregate produced for drainage, soakaway construction, decorative surfacing, and groundwork applications where stronger water movement and wider stone coverage are required. The 20mm grading creates larger voids between the stones than smaller decorative gravel, which improves water flow through the aggregate layer and makes it particularly suitable for French drains, soakaways, drainage trenches, and perimeter drainage around buildings. Groundworkers and landscapers regularly use this material where smaller gravel may compact too tightly or where a more visible decorative stone finish is preferred across larger external areas.

The rounded stone profile also makes 20mm gravel and shingle practical around underground drainage pipes and utility services because the smoother aggregate edges reduce pressure points during backfilling. The larger grading creates a more pronounced decorative finish around driveways, raised beds, pathways, and planted borders where smaller gravel may appear too fine or compact visually.
